Drumsurn singing star Rachael O’Connor has revealed how she is taking a break form the West End hit show ‘Lord of the Dance’ to focus on her music career.

Rachael, who shot to fame after appearing in the BBC talent show The Voice, revealed her plans during a break home last week.

“I’m just home from another stint in the West End with Lord Of The Dance, and Morgan Comer who lives in Larne, is also in the show as the role of the Lord,” Rachael told the ‘Journal’.

“I’ve been touring and performing in London for the past 18 months with the show and I’m home now for a little break.

“That’s why I’ve taken some time away from the show, although it’s such a great experience and I’ve met the most amazing people.

“I want to now focus on my own stuff. I’ve got a few meetings which I’ll fly back and forth to London for ”

During her trip home, catching up with family and friends, Rachael made sure to check out the new gym at St Matthew’s GAC.

“While I’ve been away I’ve been told so much about Drumsurn’s new gym. My dad is constantly showing it off through the phone,” said Rachael.

“I’m excited to be back, and to able to use it. I can’t believe how good it is, and how it has everything you could ask for in it!

“There’s no excuse for us all not to have a six pack this year!”
