Dungiven's youth stage town clean-up

Benbradagh Community Support and their team of trusty volunteers will be out and about in Dungiven this weekend, pounding the paths to do their bit to keep their town clean and tidy.

This will be the group’s first clean-up of 2016, and the hard working team at Benbradagh Community Support are keen to encourage some new faces to join them.

Youth Coordinator with Benbradagh Community Support (BCS), Colleen Harkin, is hoping local people will be able to spare some time to help out.

“We will be there with our youth group members and, hopefully, some of their parents, which is fantastic,” said Colleen.

“It would be great if we could get some large numbers out to lend a hand for an hour. They say ‘many hands make light work’, and I can promise a lively morning and some great treats with a cup of tea and coffee afterwards.

It would be your good deed done for the week.”

Colleen says protective gear will be provided and volunteers are encouraged to wear old clothes and comfortable shoes.

The clean-up will take place this Saturday 9th July, kicking off at 11am.
