The book, developed by the Derry 1916 Committee, contains stories and reflections of the impact of the Easter Rising on subsequent generations of republicans from the city.

Project coordinator Tommy Carlin said: “Unfortunately due to the serious illness of one of our key steering committee members, Dale Moore we decided to postpone the official launch earlier in the month. Sadly Dale passed away peacefully on Sunday.

“We have received numerous enquiries about the availability of the book and therefore we have decided to proceed with those plans in confidence that it would be Dale’s wish that we do so.”

The publication is available at the Sinn Féin Offices, Tourist Office, Checkpoint Charlie and at Museum of Free Derry, priced at £6. All proceeds go to Derry Republican Graves Association.
