Due to the huge success of their summer scheme last month Echo Echo Dance Theatre Company will be running another fun-packed week of dance and movement for children and young adults.

They are inviting all ages to join them from Monday 18th August – Friday 22nd July in their studios on Magazine Street for a week of creativity and dancing.

This week will include daily workshops for age groups of 4 – 7 years and 8 – 12 years which introduce children to Echo Echo’s creative and non-competitive style of dancing.

The classes are fun and vibrant, and will teach the kids choreography as well as encourage their imaginations to improvise and create their own sequences.

The children will work towards a short performance in Echo Echo’s theatre on the last day for family and friends.

Echo Echo will also be running a Youth Dance Summer Intensive for 13 – 18 years in the same week.

These classes will offer a mixture of contemporary dance, hip-hop and physical theatre.

One participant in the July Youth Dance Intensive stated:

“I am really grateful for the experience, I feel I have learnt a lot from it. I enjoyed being able to be free to express myself through Echo Echo’s diverse style of dance.”

The summer schemes are open to boys and girls of all abilities and there is no need for any previous dance experience.

They are ultimately creative classes about learning to move to music and making new friends.

Classes for 4 – 7 years and 8 – 12 years will run from 10.30am – 1pm daily, whilst classes for 12 – 18 years will take place 2pm – 5pm.
