Derry cemeteries closed again today due to icy conditions

Access to cemeteries has been impacted several times over recent weeks, with full day closures and partial day closures at the City Cemetery, Ballyoan and others across the city.

Snowfall and low temperatures over the weekend led to icy conditions across the north west.

A Council spokesperson said this morning: “All cemeteries will remain closed again this morning for health and safety reasons due to snow and icy conditions.

“All burials will continue as normal. We will provide further updates throughout the day.”
