Sinn Féin Councillor Mickey Cooper has welcomed news that a road resurfacing and gas introduction scheme will be carried out in the Princes Street area.
He said: “It’s great news that finally there will be the installation of a gas main to allow residents to connect to the gas supply, particularly as access to many of the homes by oil lorries is impossible due to make up of these historic streets. The installation is a direct result of a residents’ survey I undertook in the area which proved to Firmus Energy that there was huge demand for a gas supply. “
Princes Street is also to be resurfaced, he added.
