A number of events will be held in the city next week to mark International Men’s Health Week.
The theme for this year’s events is Promoting and Supporting the Health and Well-Being of Men and Boys during Challenging Times” and workshops and check-ups will be held across the city based on the theme.
Taster sessions in head and back massage will be held in the Men’s Action Network (MAN) office at 40 Carlisle Road each day during the week from 10am to 3pm.
On Wednesday 15th the Western Health & Social Care Trust in partnership with MAN will be running an awareness session for men about sexual health titled, “Everything you wanted to know about Sexual health but were afraid to ask.”
On Saturday, volunteers from MAN will carry out a survey in the city centre to ask local men their views on a range of health issues. Blood pressure and cholesterol tests will also be carried out at a number of city centre venues.
Health checks will be on offer between 12pm -3.00pm on level three of the Foyleside Centre just beside the Debenhams Walkway.
