New Horizons is a community based Rehabilitative Training organisation in Buncrana Main Street. It offers a range of services for young adults with varying degrees of intellectual disability. From November to December a Charity Clothes and Bric-a-brac shop will be opened to raise funds and awareness of New Horizons in the local community. Scoil Naomh Iosaf (Illies) Parents’ Association would like to invite everyone to the school fundraiser to purchase laptops on Saturday, 1st November in the Inishowen Gateway Hotel. Music is by “Glenshane Country” and dancing is from 10.30 p.m. - 1.30 a.m. Admission €5. Raffle tickets are on sale for 5 great fuel prizes with a choice of vouchers available; vouchers for heating oil to the value of €200, voucher for 10 bags coal, 40 bags of turf, 30 bags logs and a €40 gas voucher.

The 2nd Annual Texas Holdem Poker tournament in aid of The Glenevin Waterfall Park will take place at the Strand Hoteltonight. €40.00 Deepstack Freeze out, 20 minutes blinds. Lots of spot and raffle prizes.  Registration open at 8:30 p.m. tournament starts at 9 p.m. sharp. Hot buffet provided.

There will be a coffee morning in Drumfries National School Hall today from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. All proceeds will go to the Nazereth House , Fahan. Everyone is welcome, come along and join us.

The Christmas lights for the Main Street need to be replaced due to storm damage. John Porter will be distributing donation boxes to all business premises in the town at the beginning of November. Any contributions will be greatly appreciated.

A Variety Concert will be held in Sliabh Sneacht Heritage Centre, Drumfries on Sunday 26th October. Featuring Dinny McLaughin and his group, Ark of Tides and a host of local talent, Guest appearances from Anne Marie Hickey and many more talented performers. Doors open at 7.30 p.m. and the concert starts at 8 p.m. Admission €10 includes light refreshments. All welcome.
