Fahan’s Christmas Craft and Gift Fayre

There will be a Christmas Craft and Gift Fayre in Fahan Presbyterian Church Hall on Saturday, November 17 from 11am until 4pm. Stalls include: cards, crafts, paintings, jewellery, home baking and many more. Tea served during the day. Everyone is very welcome.

Our new Community Employment Project begins on November 26. We need general workers who are required to work an average of 39 hours per fortnight and two caretakers required to work 19½ hours per week. The Burt, Inch and Fahan 2013 Calendar is now on sale. All proceeds are in aid of St Aengus’ Church repair Fund. The calendars would make lovely stocking filler this Christmas.

The Burt GAA annual dinner dance will take place in An Grianan Hotel, Burt, on Saturday, November 24.

The ‘New 2 You’ shop in aid of the Laura Lynn Children’s Hospital is opening between November 5 and Christmas, in Lower Main Street, Moville. Edel Concannon’s Irish dancing class takes place in St Mary’s Hall, Burt, every Monday from 5.00 pm until 6.00 pm. New pupils and returners are very welcome.

Burt Bingo takes place every Tuesday at 9.00 pm in St Mary’s Hall, Burt. One book only costs 7 euro. Please come along and bring a friend and keep the bingo going.

There is a Zumba Class in St Mary’s Hall, Burt, every Thursday, from 6.30pm until 7.30pm. The cost is Euro 5.

A six week Line Dancing class started in the Plaza, Buncrana, on Tuesday, November 6, from 8.00 pm until 9.30 pm. Beginners and all ages welcome.

The ISPCC Church gate collection raised 305 euro in Parish Church and Chapel of Ease.

Monsignor Eamon Martin will administer the Sacrament of Confirmation on Friday March 22, 2013 at 5.00 pm in St Aengus’ Church, Burt.First Communion will be administered in the Parish Church on May 18, 2013 at 11am and in St Aengus’, Burt on Saturday, May 25 at 11am.

Mass will be celebrated for all those families who have experienced the loss of a child, remembering all the babies who died prematurely, stillborn or shortly after birth. The Mass will be offered in St Aengus’ Church, Burt, on Tuesday, November 20, at 7.30 pm.

This week’s Burt GAA Club Lotto winners were Marjorie McBride and Emma McBride. The jackpot is now 1450 euro.
