The Annual Charity Family Fun Day was recently held at Tullagh Bay Equestrian in Clonmany and turned out to be a great success.
The previously inclement weather brightened up just on time as the Tractor Run set off on the day.
While numbers were certainly down on last year due to the uncertainty of the weather, the level of fun and entertainment was just as high. Members of the local community and others from further afield joined together on the day for the event. The overall amount raised on the day was a fantastic €1631.00 euro.
This will be divided among the charities, which are Donegal Hospice, the Buddy Bear Appeal for children with cerebral palsy and a local charity.
The cheques will be presented at a later date. Catherine and Bernard Devlin, the owners of the Equestrian Centre, would like to thank everyone who turned up on the day to support the charities.
They would also like to thank all of the family, friends and neighbours who helped with preparations for the event, and all of the businesses who kindly donated the prizes on the day. The event will now run on an annual basis on the May Bank Holiday weekend so put the date in your diary for next year.
