Derry doctor Leah Totton has opened her second cosmetic skin clinic, this time in the heart of Essex.
Business partner Lord Alan Sugar was there to cut the red ribbon at the opening of the clinic on Friday morning.
And a delighted Dr Leah told the ‘Journal’ how the clinic will offer a world exclusive fat busting treatment. Dr Leah’s clinic will be the only place in the world where the 3D Bespoke fast busting machines will be used, setting the clinic in a league of its own in the marketplace. The Apprentice winner will also be offering hair transplants and the unique Dr Leah facelift.
“I’ve been in the clinic most of the night, getting everything ready,” said Leah. “A lot of research has gone into our new location and we’re confident we can replicate the success we’ve had in London.”
Last year figures for Dr Leah Ltd revealed the firm now has £439,000 in cash in its coffers – up from £190,000 in 2014. And industry experts predict Dr. Leah’s clinic is on course to grow into a multi million business.
“Our accounts speak for themselves,” she said. “My business is my big love.”
But Leah who plans to split her days between the Moorgate and Essex offices is continuing to learn. The Derry doc is studying for her Masters in Dermatology and says she hopes what she has done with her life inspires other young women from the city.
“Academia is something that’s really important to me,” she said. “I was always a straight A student and top of the year in my degree course. And I think that’s really important particularly in business.”
While Dr Leah’s new clinic will open for clients on Wednesday, the doctor says she still dreams of twisting Lord Sugar’s arm to dip his toe in the Northern Ireland market and open a Dr Leah clinic here.
