The festival is run by Foreglen GAC.

Organisers say the aim is to bring together current and former club members who have moved away from the area.

“Foreglen would hope to see all those who are living away from the area, joining us for a weekend of reminiscing and good craic,” said a spokesperson.

The weekend festival will run from Friday, July 8 to Sunday, July 10.

It kicks off on July 8 with a table quiz, which will be held in the club from 9pm.

The quiz will be followed by music from local artists.

On Saturday, July 9, sports activities - for all ages - are being held throughout the day.

Festivities continue that night with a variety concert, featuring local talent.

The concert starts at 8pm sharp.

On Sunday, July 10, there will be further sports activities and a fancy dress parade.

Organisers say locals will be invited to round off the festival, and “dance the night away’, to Co Tyrone singer, Justin McGurk.

Doors open at 9pm and admission is £7.50.

A spokesperson for Foreglen GAA Club encouraged people to come along and enjoy the activities, and added: “It’s expected to be a great weekend.”
