Residents from across the Limavady area are urged to avail of the annual Council sponsored ‘free’ compost event.
This is the first year the offer has been made available under the new Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council banner.
In previous years, it was a Limavady Borough Council delivered initiative.
The local peat free compost is available - free of charge - to residents who call to either of the council recycling centres - Ballyquin Road in Limavady or Chapel Road in Dungiven.
Starting on Wednesday 22nd April, pre-bagged compost can be picked up - one for each customer - at the Limavady and Dungiven facilities for one week on a first come first served basis.
Customers can also bring their own trailers or bags, but in order to fairly share this resource, only the equivalent of one garden bag per customer will be issued.
For information, call the Waste Management Officer at Limavady Technical Services Department on Tel: 028 777 60305.
