The Tales and Trails event will take place on Sunday, December 18, from 3pm to 6pm with Santa in attendance.

Colr Cooper said: “It’s great that this event is taking place in the newly opened Brooke Park. I have been working with council officials for some time now to identify funding opportunities for programmes in Derry and Strabane to allow these type of events to take place, and was delighted that back in October the council approved a funding package of £15,000 for Christmas programmes across the five Neighbourhood renewal areas in Derry and Strabane.”

The event will explore Tales of Christmas from around the world, told by a number of special characters. “Local talent will also be on show and Santa will be making an appearance. I would like to thank the Good Relations Department for their support,” Colr. Cooper said.

Admission is free, with donations welcome in lieu to Jamie’s Journie, Children’s Cancer Charity.
