'˜Galliagh is not a race track' warn police

Police in Derry have warned motorcyclists against using 'Galliagh as a race track'.

The warning came after the Ballyarnett Neighbourhood Policing Team seized a motorcycle in the area on Monday.

One youth was arrested as a result and was charged with a number of traffic offences.

“Remember the good weather isn’t an excuse to use Galliagh as a racetrack,” read a message on PSNI Foyle’s Facebook page.

“Otherwise we will seize your motorcycle and you will end up in court. Ballyarnett Neighbourhood policing team seized this beauty (pictured above) yesterday [Monday] and one local youth was arrested for a number of traffic offences. He is also now missing a Christmas present.”
