GARDAI are investigating a robbery at a service station in Newtowncunningham.
It was one of two robberies at service stations in Donegal in the early hours of Saturday morning following an incident in Ramelton.
At around 12.20am a number of men entered a service station in Ramelton (Moorefield Service Station) and took money from an ATM on the premises.
A short time later a number of men entered a service station (Kernan’s Spar) in Newtowncunningham and again took money from the ATM there.
In both instances the stations were closed for business and the culprits got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
A spokseman for the Gardai said: “The incident at Ramelton occurred at approximately 12.20am and Newtowncunningham occurred at approximately 1am.
