Local charity LCDI is responsible for the bringing the icy festive feature to town.

Ashleen Schenning from LCDI says the rink, situated within the grounds of LCDI (the former workhouse and former Roe Valley Hospital off Scroggy Road) is almost fully booked, but there are some places left.

Eager skaters from the Roe Valley, and surrounding areas of Derry and Coleraine, have booked a spot.

Able to hold 48 skaters at a time, the ice rink, along with a Santa’s grotto, Christmas market and a festive food section, will be located on LCDI’s grounds from December 2-9.

Booking is essential.
