Go batty in Strabane

Wildlife livers in Strabane are set to get an opportunity to get up close and personal with one of the north west’s special priority species.

Creggan Country Park and Derry and Strabane District Council have organised a special Batty Wildlife Fun Day to be held tonight at Riversdale Leisure Centre. Getting underway at 7pm, visitors will get a chance to see what species live locally and also learn from Moffitt, Chair of NI Bat Group. Karen Healy, Environmental Officer, Creggan Country Park and North West representative for the NI Bat Group says tonight’s event is “an ideal opportunity for anyone that is even a little curious about bats, to come along and discover more about these special mammals and have some fun in the great outdoors.” More info online at www.creggancountrypark.com
