‘Gordon Osràm’s Funeral’ at Playhouse
A daring, immersive play developed by Accidental Theatre Company from an original script by Dave Kinghan, will take over The Playhouse Gallery space this weekend!
Audiences will find themselves in a performance retrospective tracing the path of performance artist Gordon Osràm’s life and work, featuring videos, photographs, interventions and interactive exhibits in ‘Gordon Osràm’s Funeral’ this Saturday at 8pm.
As the night unfolds, Osràm’s darker motives build intrigue to a fever pitch, and a personal question faces everyone present: What memory of ourselves do we wish to leave behind?
“Join us and raise a toast to the artist. Leave your own mark and confront your inner motives whilst exploring the sights, sounds and events of Osràm’s final hurrah. (Mourning dress optional!)” Áine McCarron, theatre programmer at The Playhouse said.
Audiences can chose their experience of this unique performance- a £10/ £7 standard ticket gives you full access so you can freely explore and investigate this unusual production, and £12 tickets to join the camera crew (only three tickets available), gallery staff (only three tickets available), or audio guide (only ten tickets available).
“Will you get involved and join the performance? Being attached to a three person camera team, two camera operators and a director? Will you work behind the scenes of the show, getting in amongst the action all night as a gallery staff member?
“Or will you get or a personal audio guide to the performance and the accompanying exhibition/installation?” Áine said.
Accidental Theatre Company ‘Gordon Osràm’s Funeral’ will come to The Playhouse Gallery tomorrow (Saturday) at 8pm. To book contact The Playhouse Box office on (028)71 268027 or online at www.derryplayhouse.co.uk.
