A special charity night, in aid of child victims of human trafficking is to be hosted by Sandinos on Thursday May 9.
The gig, in association with Kaya Volunteering, will be headlined by Derry singer Grim AKA Laurence McDaid and has been organised by charity fundraisers - I U SHE. The not-for-profit branded charity event aims to raise funds and awareness for good causes while promoting up and coming musicians. Though formed in Manchester, I U She is coming home, as it was founded by Derry woman Lisa Rooney.
Joining Grim will be fellow Derry artists, Una Dunne, Susie-Blue, Johanna Fegan and Manchester based, Ailish Marie.
Lisa Rooney, founder and director of I U SHE said: “I have a feeling this will be our best night yet. I am excited and proud to be getting the opportunity to take the brand home and let people experience a great night all in aid of a worthy cause.”
Already claimed Ms. Rooney, I U SHE has raised thousands for charities such as; Western Park Cancer Trust, Womens Aid against domestic violence, Brake 2young2die Campaign and most recently the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The latest event received a number of celebrity endorsments, from the likes of Loose Women’s Denise Welch, Manchester United’s Rio Ferdinand and TV host Davina McCall. I U She headlined by Grim plays Sandinos on Thursday May 9. Doors open 8pm and tickets cost £5.
