Group Reach Across with Spring events

A Derry cross community group has revealed that this Spring it completed six activity residentials which involved 130 people from across the North West.

New members of Reach Across also took part in a trampoline activity at JumpLanes and a waterbomb fundraiser, as well as attending weekly club nights at the Holywell Building in Bishop Street.

Forthcoming contact and development opportunities include a Young Women’s Course, Band Skills, Quilt-Making, a day trip to M & Ds Theme Park, a GREASE Formal and a Jailbreak activity at Lifford Courthouse.

In March, seven young people and 2 volunteers took part in an international youth project in Agros, Cyprus.

In Summer 2016, REACH Across plans to provide international youth exchange opportunities in Opatowek, Poland and Alba Iulia, Romania for 28 young people and it will also host young people from these two cities. In addition to the international projects, the organisation aims to organize a Summer Scheme and 2 activity camps.

Reach Across will be staging a training night for new volunteers next Monday, 18th April in the DiverseCity Partnership Building in Bishop St. Volunteers are required to assist with its Summer activity camps, international youth exchanges, training courses and weekly group meetings.
