Eglinton woman, Jane McClenaghan, author of the Vital Nutrition Cookbook and a leading nutritionist in Northern Ireland, has been highly commended for her outstanding practice at the highly coveted CAM Awards.
The CAM Awards are the UK’s ‘Oscars’ of the complementary and alternative health industry, and recognise individuals who are making a real difference through their work. Jane has beaten stiff competition across and has been acknowledged as a practitioner whose work has inspired and motivated through best practice.
Speaking at her delight of receiving such prestigious recognition, Jane said: “I am ecstatic with this wonderful acknowledgment of my hard work from an industry that I am proud to be a part of. I feel genuine pleasure when I see people making real and positive changes to their everyday lives that will have a massive impact on their health and future wellbeing.”
Jane was put forward for a CAM Award because of her outstanding commitment and contribution to the natural health industry. Jane has become Northern Ireland’s leading nutrition expert with an extensive knowledge base developed from over 15 years in clinical practice. From cookery classes, nutrition workshops, one-to-one consultations and workplace health, Jane strives to share her knowledge and expertise to give people the confidence to make better choices.
Her passion for good food started in childhood, as she helped her mother prepare family meals using produce grown in her own family garden. After studying Food Science at the University of Reading, her hunger for healthy lifestyle choices led her to work alongside some of the foremost nutrition experts before returning to Northern Ireland to set up her own consultancy. Jane supports people with a variety of health issues, but has a special interest in hormone balance and adrenal support (stress and exhaustion). She practices from Framar Health, Belfast.
