'˜Hooded males' steal '˜large quantity' of cigarettes from shop in Derry

Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary of a shop on the Creggan Road in Derry during the early hours of this morning, Saturday 22 October.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “It was reported that sometime around 4am a white coloured car was used to force entry to the rear of the premises. A number of hooded males then entered the shop and stole a large quantity of assorted cigarettes.”

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact officers in Strand Road on 101 quoting reference number 247 of 22/10/16. Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
