Balkan Alien Sound are happy to announce the next Gypsy & Folk night will be being held tomorrow evening, Wednesday, August 24, in Sandinos’ main venue.
For well over a year now, the group have been inviting international groups to share the stage and this one promises to live up to the part- filled reputation of the last five Gypsy & Folk nights.
As well as Balkan Alien Sound, there will be very special guests from Liverpool Jukebox Gypsy - an International five- piece harmony group consisting of English, Dutch, German and Irish musicians that blend Americana, Celtic, Country and Bluegrass together in their own unique Folk styling. Catch them for one night only at the Gypsy & Folk night as they stop off in Derry as part of their Irish Tour.
Of course the Balkan’s wandering side-kick Teknopeasant will also be present tomorrow night to get the mood pumping from the start and there also will be a World/Folk/Roots DJ set throughout the night.
The Balkan Alien Sound are delighted to be back in Sandinos main venue and express their apologies to all everyone who couldn’t get into the last gig due to high demand.
“As always, it’s the amazing crowds who come to these nights that make them so successful - and that’s what our guest bands always remember! There will be plenty of room for swinging and dancing this time so get ready for another night of Gypsy madness,” the Balkans added.
Tomorrow’s Gypsy & Folk night costs a mere £6, and doors open at 9.30pm. Please come early to avoid disappointment.
