Putting its own twist on ‘swishing’, which involves people swapping items goods, such as clothes or accessories, event organisers say people who attend the event can buy anything that grabs their eye rather than exchange it for something belonging to them.

LCDI Advice Centre manager, Trudie Hylands said it’s their first fundraiser this year.

“We get together as a staff every year and everyone makes a case for a charity close to their heart. Last year, we chose Foyle Hospice and raised £2,500. This year we chose Action MS, and we thought this was something different,” said Ms Hylands. “We’re calling it a posh jumble sale because we have some really fantastic items, including designer clothes, and they’re all in fantastic condition. People have been so generous. It’s a great opportunity for people to support a charity and grab a bargain.”

The event runs from 3-9pm on April 29th at LCDI at the Old Roe Valley Hospital.

Entrance costs £3, and refreshments are provided.
