Roe Valley not-for-profit organisations in the Limavady Borough Council area are invited to submit applications for funding under the Community Legacy Grant Programme.

Limavady councillors passed the grant programme this month, which give organisations the opportunity to pitch for a small grant of up to £3,000, or a medium grant of up to £15,000.

The grants are available for short term programme costs, equipment (but not personal equipment) and/or small scale capital projects. No funding is available for staffing, ongoing running costs or longer term projects.

Limavady’s Neighbourhood Renewal officer, Ursula Coll said: “With Limavady Borough Council coming to an end, it was agreed that a legacy grant should be made available to organisations here.

“The grants aim to give something back to groups who have served the area well, in a bid to help them continue to develop moving into the new Causeway Coast & Glens Council era.”

The grant programme opens on Monday 26th January 2015. The closing date for applications will be Friday 6th February. Only one application can be submitted per organisation.

Application forms are available from Ursula Coll, or Lorraine Hasson, Development Services Limavady Borough Council, 7 Connell Street, Limavady, BT49 0HA. Telephone: 028 777 60304.

The grants are open to all organisations within the Limavady Borough Council area, excluding for profit making organisations.
