Stendhal Festival of Art has been nominated for three awards at this year’s Irish Festival Awards.
The Limavady based music and arts extravaganza is up for Best Small Festival, Best Line-up and Best Family Festival.
For the second year running the festival has been nominated for three awards and the team behind it are hoping to follow on from their success last year when they were crowned Ireland’s Best Small Festival.
Event Director Ross Parkhill said: “It’s great to be nominated for three categories at this year’s Irish Festival Awards. So much effort is put in by so many people each year, so any time we get recognised in anyway is a huge bonus and really makes all the hard work seem all the more worthwhile.”
Ross added: “Best Line-up would be an amazing award to take home because so much of our line-up is home-grown, Northern Irish talent. We always aim to bring in a number of bands from other places, we had Frightened Rabbit from Scotland, Paddy Casey and Tucan from the Republic this summer to go along with The Undertones, Bronagh Gallagher and a host of top class acts from right on our doorstep.”
