Local woman dies in Canada

The sudden death has occured in Calgary, Alberta, Canada of Helga Mirosh (nee Regan) formerly of Glenburnie House, Moville. The wife of Ed and mother of Finbar, Patrick and Rory, Helga moved to Canada more than thirty years ago but always loved to return to her beloved Ireland to visit close friends in Moville and Derry. Helga had an immense love of life and shared it freely, was full of energy and had a wit that never ceased.She will be sadly missed by a wide circle of friends and family.

A night of music by local musicians including the Finbarr Doherty Band, the Henry Girls and the Kate O’Callaghan Band is being held in McGrorys, Culdaff on Easter Sunday night in aid of the Niall Mellon Township Trust, building homes for families living in shacks in CapeTown, South Africa. Inishowen Carnival Group needs help with Easter Parade. The group are looking to get as many performers out on the streets as possible on Easter Monday and want to encourage as many adults and children to dress up in their carnival costumes, carry flags and add to the performance even if you have never taken part in a parade before in your life. Moville Tidy Town Group would welcome more able bodied men and women, with own spades if possible, to continue the clean up along the main roads. The group meets every Saturday at 10am. Greencastle Community Centre is looking for small good quality second hand circuit training equipment i.e. Skipping rope, yoga ball, yoga mats, light dumbells and stepper.  If you have any of these items or any other items that you think would be good to use for circuit training laying about your house and you don’t use them, we would be grateful if you would donate them to the community centre.
