Made off without paying

A 54-year-old Limavady man who made off without paying and who stole oil has been sentenced to complete 100 hours community service.

John Simpson, whose address was given as Dowland Road, was sentenced at Limavady Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday. Simpson had pleaded guilty to making off without paying for £10 of fuel on October 16, 2013, from a business in Greysteel, and for theft of 22 litre oil drums to the vale of £39.98 belonging to a business in Coleraine on January 25, 2014.
