Detectives from the PSNI’s Serious Crime Branch investigating paramilitary activity in the Dungiven area have released unconditionally a 60-year-old man arrested in County Antrim.

The PSNI arrested five men last week as part of the same investigation. Four of them were also released unconditionally.

“One will have a report sent to the Public Prosecution Service,” said a PSNI spokesperson.

Detective Chief Inspector Una Jennings, from Serious Crime Branch, said: “We are investigating various forms of paramilitary activity in the Dungiven area, predominantly over the last four years. These include shooting incidents and threats.”
