Man due in court charged with attempted murder

A 35-year-old man is due in court this morning after being charged with attempted murder and possession of explosives with intent to endanger life.

The charges relate to an incident in Eglinton on June 18, 2015 outside the homes of PSNI officers.

Detectives from the PSNI’s Serious Crime Branch have charged the man with the offences.

He is due to appear before Derry Magistrate’s Court this morning.

As is normal the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
