McGuinness raises Tony Taylor arrest with Theresa Villiers

The Deputy First Minister, Martin McGuinness, has discussed the arrest and imprisonment of Derry man, Tony Taylor, with Secretary of State, Theresa Villiers.

Mr. Taylor, who is a the spokesperson for Republican Network for Unity (R.N.U.) in Derry has his prison licence revoked by the Secretary of State in March.

“I raised the case of Derry man Tony Taylor directly with the British Secretary of State Theresa Villiers today (Monday),” said Mr. McGuinness.

“The arrest and imprisonment without recourse to due process is a practice that is totally unacceptable and needs to end immediately.

He added: “I made that position clear to Theresa Villiers today.”
