Medical firm makes CTRIC its base

German medical company, Raumedic, has chosen the C-TRIC facility at Derry’s Altnagelvin hospital as the headquarters for its European sales division.

The Clinical Translational Research and Innovation Centre (C-TRIC) is a healtcare innovation hub housing a number of companies involved in developing state of the art new healthcare products.

The German company develops and produces medical supplies including catheters and precision mouldings a and currently employs more than 500 people worldwide

Barry Henderson, Business Development Manager at C-TRIC said Raumedic’s decision to locate at Altnagelvin is a boost for the facility.

“It is great to have a company such as Raumedic choose C-TRIC as it’s UK base. In addition to the company having use of high-spec office space and meeting rooms and access to advanced ICT and telecoms infrastructure, it also enables us to explore potential areas of mutual interest in terms of healthcare innovation and improving patient care,” he said.

Three new employees joined Raumedic at C-TRIC this week as part of the companies Northern European sales team covering Ireland, the UK, Norway, Sweden and Denmark
