A Derry musical society is preparing for the last two nights of their pantomime - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
St Joseph’s Musical Society have been planning the community pantomime since as far back as May 2015 - and the decision was taken to go with the classic tale of Snow White.
“At a very early stage we got to work straight away on the script,” said Brian Hasson.
“Then we decided to hold open auditions for both Junior and Senior cast, and we were absolutely overwhelmed with the turnout at the auditions.
“The standard of the kids was amazing to say the least, between acting, singing, dancing and musical talent we were literally blown away.
“After the auditions the committee got together along with Tommy Burke AKA “Dame Rosie” the director, and we set about putting the kids and adults into roles for the show.
“This was not easy but we managed to get through it and I can tell you the audiences will be in for a treat. “St Joseph’s aim to involve everyone from the local communities young and old to take part in a real fun experience. We would like to thank everyone in the cast who has worked tiredly from May to now rehearsing every Sunday and giving up their free time, all a big thank to all the volunteer who are working really hard behind the scenes, without them the show would be able to go on stage, Our final thanks are to the local businesses who have helped generously, ensuring that we could put a show on!”
