Mobile phone users experience problems - O’hOisin

02 mobile phone users in and around the Dungiven area have reportedly been experiencing problems with their coverage, according to a Dungiven councillor who said he has been flooded with complaints in the past week.

Sinn Fein’s Cathal O’hOisn said a number of residents have told him about poor service and calls cutting off during conversations.

“In my own experience, my phone has been on the blink for the last week and a half. At first I thought it was the battery and was at the point of ordering a new one,” he said.

“I was talking to local people who have had the exact same problem. There is intermittent reception and calls cut off during conversations. I was chatting to one man who was about to order a new phone.

“Many people rely on their phones for business and to look after their loved ones. I am very concerned about it. There is a real cost to people and they deserve a better service.”

The ‘Journal’ contacted 02 about the issue, but they did not respond at the time of going to press.
