Olympic Torch to arrive on June 4

The Olympic Torch will arrive in the north west on June 4.

Details of the torch’s journey across England, Scotland, Wales and the north of Ireland were revealed earlier today.

It will be carried from Bellarena to Limavady at around 4pm on June 4, travelling through Ballykelly, Greysteel and onto Derry.

The Olympic torch arrives in the city at around 5pm.

The torch will stay in Derry overnight and an evening of celebration will be held in St Columb ‘ s Park.

On June 5, the flame moves on from Derry, to Newbuildings, Magheramsaon, Bready, Ballymagorry and onto Strabane.

From there it travels to Omagh.
