To-night’s the night when the St Mary’s Community Hall 60th anniversary celebrations kick off with a Guest Tea and Old Tyme Dance with Muff Ceili Band in the hall. Groups and individuals are hosting a table and places are available for individuals and small groups not attached to a host table who can still partake by bringing along some food to share. During the evening, well know local author, Sive Haughey will launch her new novel,‘Sands of Time’.
The celebrations continue tomorrow with the Zest Fitness Spring 5k walk/run, starting at 11am from the Community Park.(Registration from 10am). There will also be a Juvenile Mile at 10.30am, another excellent opportunity to help with the ‘fund raising’.
Then on Sunday, there’ll be a Bingo Bonanza from 3pm to 5pm in St. Mary’s Hall with great prizes. All Bingo players please support.
Proceeds from the weekend’s events will go towards defraying the debt due for the the Play Park and it provides everyone with a chance to show their appreciation for the great work being done by the Development Co.op.
The Muff Play Park in Muff came into its own last week, particularly at the weekend when some cars had to be turned away as the park was packed to capacity with children taking full advantage of all the facilities.
