Friday evenings will never be the same as Masons prepares to launch ‘Inspire Fridays’ this weekend - a special weekly event celebrating some of the North West’s most influential, exciting original artists.
All summer long, a selection of artists and bands will take to the stage at Masons Bar at 7pm, wowing audiences with their own material for a set lasting 60-90 minutes.
After that, the chosen artist will then play a DJ set of the music that has inspired them and their music.
Local musician Rachael Parkes is the brains behind Inspire Fridays, having championed the local scene for years. She can’t wait for it all to kick off at Masons.
This Friday, July 8, will see the fabulous Our Krypton Son christen the new Inspire Fridays from 7pm onwards.
On July 15, the Ronan Kearney Band will perform, followed by Recent Porno on July 22 and The Murder Balladeers on July 29.
Next month, meanwhile, will bring much-loved local duo Little Hooks to the stage on August 5, Eoin O’Callaghan on August 12, Little Bear on August 19 and Aideen and Oisin on August 26.
As if this isn’t enough to whet your appetite for Inspire Fridays, Heineken have been announced as sponsors of the event and music lovers can avail of four bottles in a bucket for a tenner as well as weekly beer-inspired prizes. They are also providing Inspire Fridays with a pair of Electric Picnic tickets to give out at the end of the summer so two lucky punters can head south and enjoy the likes of Arcade Fire, Pulp and the Chemical Brothers for FREE!
Don’t miss Inspire Fridays every Friday this summer at Masons Bar.
