Parish mourns local women

Sympathy from all in the parish go to the McLaughlin family, Baskil, on the death of Deirdre Uslatten who died in Belfast after a short illness.

Our deepest sympathy to her children Rosyln, Pauline, Henry and Alan her partner Mark, her grandchildren and her siblings Packie, Una, Eithne, Ann, Dan and Jim and the wider family circle. May he rest in peace

Sympathy is also extended to the McGrenaghan family Oldtown on the death of Jean O’Sullivan (Granny Jean) - mother of the late Catherine McGrenaghan who died peacefully in her 93rd year in Glasgow. Her funeral will take place in Glasgow. A memorial Mass was celebrated yesterday in St Mary’s Church Bocan, Culdaff. May she rest in Peace.

Congratulations to Denis Doherty, his son Michael and son-in-law Shane on completing their sponsored cycle from Mizen Head to Malin Head.Thier efforts have raised thousands for the bus that brings cancer patients from Donegal to Dublin.Sponsorship still welcome.

Good As New Shop will be opening again this month for Bocan Church Funds.If you have any unwanted clothes/bric-a brac or furniture then please save them for the shop and if you need them collected it will be arranged

A Zumba Class is held in Bocan Hall every Wednesday night from 6.30pm – 7.30pm and in Malin Hall on Monday nights at the same time.Come along as it is a brilliant way to exercise and get fit.

Old Tyme Dancing in Lagg Presbyterian Hall commencing at 8.30pm continuing every first and third Thursday of the month.

Two Hand Dancing in the Wee Hall Culdaff every Thursday night from 8pm – 10pm. New members always welcome to come along and have some fun while learning to dance.

Teas will be served in Malin Presbyterian Church Hall each Saturday during the months of July & August from 2.30pm until 5pm. Visitors will be welcome to look around the church and graveyard and to read about the history of the church. All welcome.

The good as new shop at unit 3 Business Park, Carndonagh is currently open and all proceeds are in aid of Parish Funds for Donagh and Culdaff Church of Ireland. All donations and voluntary help are most welcome.

The good as new shop in G & S Carndonagh has all proceeds going to Carn Hospitals Patient Comfort fund. All donations of clothes etc gratefully accepted.

Carndonagh & Malin Prebyterian Churches are holding a fun day and BBQ in Malin Presbyterian Church grounds on tomorrow from 2.30pm – 6pm. Barbecue/teas available. Bouncy Castles,clown, face painting,musical games etc etc. This day is grant aided by the VEC and is open to everyone.Children must be accompanied by an adult

St Vincent de Paul

The St Vincent de Paul have plans to open a charity shop at the building formerly known as the old co-op.This shop will be a means of supporting our local conferences in the following areas Culdaff, Ballinacrea, Moville, Drung & Iskaheen.All donations of good quality clothes, furniture, bric-a-brac, books, as well as clothes for recycling will be gratefully received.Anyon wishing to donate items over the coming weeks can contact the following number for the Culdaff area 086-2441661

-There will be a 5K fun run /walk in Carndonagh on Sunday 26th August at 11am. All proceeds in aid of MS Ireland Donegal branch.Registration is from 10am in the Community School Carndonagh. Entry fee is € 10 or sponsorship cards are available from Karen on 086-1700520. Under 16s must be accompanied by an Adult. AAI permitted.
