Police aware of city centre '˜bar brawl'

The PSNI is aware of an incident that took place in a city centre bar recently.

“Police have been made aware of an incident at licensed premises in the city at the weekend and are making further enquiries,” a PSNI spokesperson told the ‘Journal’.

The ‘Journal’ spoke to a man who witnessed what happened and he described the incident as a “bar brawl”.

“I couldn’t believe it,” said the man. “One minute everyone was standing around having a drink and then the next a man and woman start grappling and another man smashed a pint glass over the other man’s - it was like the wild west.”

A video of the incident surfaced on social media over the weekend but was quickly removed. The ‘Journal’ has seen the video.
