Hassan welcomes housing boost

Sinn Féin councillor Tony Hassan has welcomed the news from the Fold Housing Association that 111 new social homes are to be built at the Skeoge development.

Colr. Hassan said; “This is a good news story for social housing provision in Derry and the 1700 homeless people on the waiting lists for homes here. I would urge people to attend the consultation which is being carried out by the Fold Housing Association at the North West Market building on Monday 5th March between 3pm and 5pm to see for themselves the state-of-the-art homes the association will be building at the Glenabbey/Skeoge lands.

I would also like to welcome proposals for the construction of 24 social homes at the site of the old Marian Hall.”
