James Brokenshire resigns as NI secretary of state
Conservative M.P. James Brokenshire has resigned from the position of Secretary of State for Northern Ireland.
Mr. Brokenshire was appointed to the position in July 2016.
Ill health is the reason Mr. Brokenshire gave for resigning from the position.
Mr. Brokenshire is expected to undergo major lung surgery within the next few weeks.
