Proposal to move Limavady Post Office

A public consultation has been launched into a proposal to move Limavady Post Office from its current location to within a supermarket in the town.

Currently, the facility is located on Main Street, within retail premises that includes a chemist.

The Post Office say proposed opening hours at the new location - Supervalu on Market Street - will increase by an extra 37 hours a week and “will offer more choice of times to visit”, including between 1-6pm on a Sunday.

Suzanne Richardson, Post Office Regional Manager, said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.”

The consultation will close on 19 August 2016.
