Currently, the facility is located on Main Street, within retail premises that includes a chemist.

The Post Office say proposed opening hours at the new location - Supervalu on Market Street - will increase by an extra 37 hours a week and “will offer more choice of times to visit”, including between 1-6pm on a Sunday.

A spokesperson said the new Limavady Post Office would have four serving positions, a mixture of one modern screened, two open plan and a Post Office service point located at the retail counter, and the location will offer increased parking.

Suzanne Richardson, Post Office Regional Manager, said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.”

The consultation will close on 19 August 2016.

Submissions can made in a number of ways, including via the Customer Helpline on 03457 22 33 44.
