The Republican Network for Unity (RNU) will hold a protest at a PSNI recruitment event in Derry on Saturday.
The recruitment event will take place at the Waterfoot Hotel at 10:00am on Saturday and will run until 3:00pm.
“The RNU is calling on all people who are opposed to British policing in Ireland to take part in this protest on Saturday,” said RNU spokesperson, Tony Taylor.
“We are asking people to gather at Pilot’s Row at 12:30pm on Saturday where transport to and from the protest will be provided,” added Mr. Taylor.
The ‘Journal’ asked the PSNI if they planned to deploy extra officers at Saturday’s recruitment event.
“We will have an appropriate and proportional policing operation in place on the day of the familiarisation event,” said a PSNI spokesperson.
