PSNI: Armed robbery at Derry off-licence

Police in Derry are investigating an armed robberry at an off-sales premises in the city last night-Tuesday, July 19.

Detective Constable Richard Donnell said: “A man entered the premises, armed with an iron bar, at around 10pm on Tuesday evening and demanded money from staff. A small sum of cash was handed over and the man then fled the scene on foot. The man was described as being around 5’8” tall, of medium build and was wearing a white, red and navy coloured hooded top, black bottoms and black trainers. There were no reports of any injuries.”

Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact detectives at Strand Road on 101 quoting reference 1462 19/07/16. Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
