Radioactive disco in memory of Georgia

Football was put firmly into perspective last week when the life of Redcastle supporter and player, Georgia Doherty was tragically cut short in a road traffic accident. The whole area was shocked when news of the accident began to emerge. The club would like to extend its sympathies to Georgia’s parents, George and Rosemary, sisters Ciara and Lisa and brother Conor. The thoughts of everyone at the club are also with Lisa at this time. The Football Club regarded Georgia as one of its own, and it was a common sight to see her at Redcastle games, both home and away. The thought of not having her in and around the club on match days is hard to comprehend. Georgia was a lovely girl with time for everybody, who touched everyone she knew, with her caring attitude and positive approach to life. “To touch the soul of another human being is to walk on holy ground”. Rest in peace, Georgia.

As requested by the members of the youth club, a Radioactive Disco in memory of Georgia will be held tonight in aid of her sister Lisa McCole. Georgia was a regular attendee at the youth club and was a much loved member of the community! Everyone is asked to wear a sports jersey or bright colours to represent Georgia’s love for sport and her bright personlity! The Junior Disco will take place from 7.45pm to 9pm - admission €3. The Teen Disco will take place from 9.30pm to 11.30pm - admission €5.
