Recycling firm on board as Derry marathon sponsor

For the third year in a row, Northern Ireland's leading waste management company, RiverRidge Recycling has shown its support for the SSE Walled City Marathon, announcing they will be once again the marathon's waste management sponsor.

Race Director Noel McMonagle welcomed the partnership and said: “We are delighted to have RiverRidge Recycling back on board as our waste management sponsor again. Our event this year is no different to any other year, we are dedicated to keeping our city clean and tidy.

“It is important to provide an excellent event for anyone attending on Sunday 5th June, both competitors and spectators alike. The continued support from RiverRidge Recycling will mean we can avail of its excellent waste management services, which will help keep litter to a minimum throughout the marathon course and the clean up afterwards will help maintain our city beautiful.”

The SSE Walled City Marathon’s will challenge competitors to a 26.2 mile course, taking in the stunning views of the famed City Walls, the Peace Bridge, and the banks of the River Foyle before finishing in the Guildhall.
