Top comedian Reginald D Hunter will be returning to Derry next June, it has been announced.

The American will take to the stage at the Millennium Forum on Thursday June 9, 2016 for the first round tour of his brand new show ‘The Aluminum Negro’, with tickets priced at £21 going on sale tomorrow (Wednesday December 16).

During his show Reginald sets out to take his audience on a bountiful romp through today’s politically correct minefield.

A spokeswoman for the production said: “Reginald has been resident in the UK for just under two decades and has become one of the Comedy Industry’s best-known performers for his distinctive, no holds barred, take on subjects including race and sexuality.

“His work can be brutally honest and is often considered to be controversial but it is always meticulously thought out and he has never been afraid to face challenging issues head on, even when focusing on his own principles or beliefs.”

As well as his frequent live appearances, Reginald is a well-known face on TV shows such as 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Never Mind The Buzzcocks and QI, and is a frequent guest on Have I Got News For You.

He has appeared in Argumental for Dave Channel and Would I Lie To You and Live At The Apollo for BBC1.

Following a hugely successful year touring the world, Reginald returned to his birthplace in America in 2015 to film the critically acclaimed BBC2 series Reginald D Hunter’s Songs Of The South, which documented his epic road trip from North Carolina to New Orleans through 150 years of American popular song.

Tickets are priced £21 and go on sale on Wednesday December 16 at 9am, telephone 71264455 or visit www.millenniumforum.co.uk for bookings.
