Limavady based Roe Valley Education Forum is delighted to announce the venue and date for its major charity event.

Roe Valley Education Forum (RVEF), based on Roemill Road, delivers a number of employability programmes across Limavady Borough. Keen to recognise, develop and where possible support local talent within the Roe Valley, RVEF has pledged to help ‘home-grown’ indie rock back Furlo create their debut album and assist in promoting the band across the UK and Ireland. This commitment will see RVEF stage its first major charity on Friday 23rd March at the Drummond Hotel, Ballykelly – raising much-needed funds for two major charities ‘Macmillan Cancer Support’ and “Suicide Awareness”

Formed in 2006 and with band members predominately from Limavady, Furlo has played at various high profile festivals across the province and Ireland. Furlo has now forged a path in the indie rock music scene and now commands respect from industry critics and the media alike – enjoying airplay support from national BBC Radio and commercial stations.

Furlo will be headlining the charity event and with immense support and interest from other bands – the event plans to attract hundreds of followers from across the province.

Diane Rathfield, General Manager for Roe Valley Education Forum said: “As a non-profit making, social enterprise business, Roe Valley Education Forum is delighted to support local band Furlo. We hope RVEF’s support recognises their exceptional talents and determined efforts in making a name for themselves in the world of music. We are extremely grateful to Furlo and the other bands for their support in making this event possible and helping raise funds for two worthy charities.”

The event will be staged at the Drummond Hotel, Ballykelly. Tickets are £6 each and are available both in advance and at the door on the evening. RVEF and Furlo would strongly advise people to purchase advance tickets as great interest is already anticipated. Tickets are available form RVEF’s offices on 136 Roemill Road, Limavady.
