Roe Valley Special Olympics host ‘Open Day’

Roe Valley Special Olympics Club, based in Limavady, is recruiting athletes and volunteers.

Special Olympics is a worldwide sporting organisation for athletes with an intellectual disability. The Roe Valley Club meets weekly in Limavady High School.

“We offer athletes training in athletics from 7.15pm-8.30pm each Wednesday evening,” said a spokesperson.

The Club is recruiting athletes from age eight, and is also hoping to recruit volunteers aged from 15. Information and application packs will be available on the day.

“Please drop in, say hello, and see what Roe Valley SOC has to offer you, or your athlete,” said a spokesperson.

The open day is being held on Saturday, November 14th from 2-4pm at Limavady High School on Irish Green Street.
